Sally Lemanowitz Glazer
Sally Lemanowitz Glazer was the 2nd of 3 daughters born to Jake and his first wife, Hannah. Sally married Al Glazer, and they had three sons, Herb, Ed, and Joe.
Herb shared his thoughts about his mother: In my opinion my mother, Sally Glazer, was an extraordinary woman who had many exceptional qualities that deserve mention. She was definitely a person who really enjoyed having people around her. She was not an introvert and she did not like a life of solitude. When you were with her, you really felt that she was glad that you were there and you could tell that she was not inwardly irritated or politely tolerant. These qualities were genuine and not in the least fabricated.
My mother was also a person to whom you could really have a good conversation and she could accurately be characterized as a good listener. She was always available to talk with about most anything and if you had a problem, you could get some pretty good advice. I believe that with proper training she could have been a psychiatrist because she was kind, sensitive to the feelings of others and knew what to say to make people feel better.
My mother was also able to enjoy herself and have fun. She was in addition very dedicated to her family and very dependable in many important ways. If she had any faults, it was that she had great hope and faith in others and in life itself that difficult situations would work themselves out in a happy ending. Some of the time situations did not work out as she had hoped, but she was nevertheless able to cope with the subsequent disappointments in a positive way. However, I did learn that it is better to have too much hope that too little hope. Because of the kind of woman that she was which I have only partially described above, I learned many great lessons from her that have served me well in life.
